Over the weekend, 10 of our rescue volunteers completed a parrot handling workshop at WA Wildlife. We are receiving more calls to our hotline with requests to rescue parrots and bird species other than seabirds/waterbirds. WASR held a comprehensive Seabird and Waterbird rescue workshop in Mandurah in December 2019 with 22 participants. A morning of theory was followed by a demonstration of rescue of a pelican. WASR is delighted to welcome our new recruits.
