Our President Halina Burmej held a “Seabird Rescue and Rehabiltation Workshop” at Native Animal Rescue recently.

The feedback from attendees was very positive and included “I’m not scared of pelicans anymore”

The Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions ( DBCA) Parks and Wildlife service hold an introductory weekend course about 3 times a year.

ALL the other ongoing and specialist training is entirely run and funded by individual volunteers and organisations such as WASR. We attend each other’s courses and conferences, find and share online resources and contact Australian and overseas Seabird rehabilitation and rescue groups to try to always use the latest information and the best techniques to get the best outcomes.
