We use net guns a lot at Western Australian Seabird Rescue! We prefer the term ‘net launcher’ to avoid violent rhetoric and long explanations to members of public. We use it as a last resort. It can be loud and difficult to untangle and repair. Net launchers help us to catch birds that would otherwise evade capture and die.
