The West reported on the mystery oil spill impacting our seabirds.
“Volunteers at WA Seabird Rescue have been carefully rescuing the water birds during the last few days, noting they were working with the department to test the contaminant on the birds’ feathers and obtain drone footage to survey the pelican colonies.
“Our superstar volunteer, Rachel, has been busy patrolling Penguin Island, Lake Richmond and Tern Island for oiled birds,” a WA Seabird Rescue spokesperson said.”
