Halina Burmej

President

Dr Halina Burmej is a retired GP who has been involved in wildlife rehabilitation for 21 years, caring for a wide range of species from kangaroo joeys to pelicans and has been rescuing birds with WASR for 11 years.

Halina develops and administers training programs in seabird rescue and rehabilitation.

She was WASR President from 2013-2020 and has recently returned to the role.
